Sponsored: This year, Crate and Barrel is bringing new levels of comfort into our homes
During the autumn season, one thing is for certain, and that’s change. As we embrace the cooler weather and prepare for hosting again, our homes are calling out for a refresh. Bringing with it seasonal hues and warm textures, Crate and Barrel’s FW21 collection is giving us all the cosy feels.
The narrative that runs through the range is about feeling good. From soft fabrics to inviting curved lines, the collection has been designed with comfort in mind. Much like their previous launches, there’s an homage to all things ‘70s – think rattan and vintage glassware.
Particularly soft sofas
If comfort is the brief, these sofas deliver. Both the Monahan and Wells sofas have peg legs in keeping with this year’s Mid-Century revival. Not only do they look good, but they are also FSC ®-certified meaning that the wood is harvested from responsibly managed forests. Simple, yet inviting, the pieces are sophisticated in design and confident in sustainability.
If making a statement is key, the collection has several interestingly shaped tables to consider. The Flora End Table is particularly noteworthy, as is the Nash Console with its jutting edges and sharp angles. If you’re in the market for a new dining table, the Terra collection is a range of traditional and timeless tables made of solid wood.
Adding some life, the decorations are fun and fresh. From pampas wreaths to pine cone candles, and husk pumpkins, there’s a distinct autumnal feel in these accessories. We’re also a fan of the statement making vases, with their bold colours and interesting shapes.
With festivities on the horizon, Crate and Barrel’s dinnerware harks back to a time gone by, and sparks desire for a 21st century good time. The Atwell decanter is an elegant way to serve drinks, while the Lucia Tulip coupe glass is the perfect to toast in the New Year. There are also lots of pieces that will work well for Thanksgiving, such as the Helms woven table runner and Faux Wheat napkin rings.
